Project Context

The client approached me with a clear goal: create an app that blends shopping with skincare education and routine support. The platform needed to be mobile-first, intuitive, and deeply personalised—serving not just as a store, but as a skincare ally.

Design Process

1. Discovery & Ideation
I worked closely with the client to define product goals and translate them into UX priorities. We mapped the user journey from first download to long-term routine engagement, with an emphasis on onboarding and retention.

2. Wireframing & Prototyping
Low-fidelity wireframes helped lay out the core structure of the app: onboarding, product recommendation, calendar, content hub, and account. Interactive prototypes were used to validate navigation and content hierarchy.

3. UI Design & Visual System
The visual identity was designed to evoke clarity, wellness, and trust. I chose a soft, natural colour palette and minimalist iconography to reduce visual noise and make content easier to scan. Each section was optimised for mobile ergonomics.

Implemented Solutions

1. Smart Product Match
Users begin their journey with a guided questionnaire that collects data on skin type, lifestyle, concerns, and preferences. Based on the input, the app recommends a personalised selection of products tailored to their needs.

2. Routine Calendar & Notifications
A dedicated skincare calendar lets users schedule their routine, with gentle reminders and tips for each step. Each product includes how-to instructions and contextual tips to build habit and trust.

3. In-App Education
An article section keeps users informed with regular content on skincare science, seasonal routines, and wellness. The interface is clean and searchable, allowing users to browse topics or dive deeper after product use.

4. Personalised Shopping & Account Area
Users can view matched products, repurchase from their history, and track orders via the account section. Product pages include ingredient details, reviews, and related tips for deeper engagement.


Conclusion

Nourisher elevates the traditional skincare shopping experience by offering meaningful guidance, structured habits, and educational depth. The app combines the best of e-commerce, personal care, and digital wellness into one smart tool. This project demonstrated how thoughtful UX design can empower users to make confident, informed skincare choices—while building lasting brand loyalty through personalisation and trust.
